Refund and Cancellation Policy

1. Cancellation Fees
Cancellation fees are calculated as a percentage of the total booking price:
– 61 days or more before departure: 15% cancellation fee.
– 31 to 60 days before departure: 25% cancellation fee.
– 15 to 30 days before departure: 35% cancellation fee.
– 7 to 14 days before departure: 50% cancellation fee.
– Less than 7 days before departure: 100% cancellation fee.
The remaining balance, if any, will be refunded to the customer after deduction of the applicable cancellation fee and any additional non-refundable third-party charges that were clearly disclosed before booking.
2. Special Bookings and Supplier Conditions
Certain bookings, including flights, hotels, Nile cruises, special-event tickets, and tailor-made packages, may be subject to stricter cancellation conditions imposed by suppliers. These conditions will be communicated before payment and will apply where legally permissible.
3. Cancellation by Our Company
If we cancel a confirmed booking and cannot provide an acceptable alternative, we will refund the amount paid for the cancelled services, subject to applicable law.
4. No-Show and Unused Services
Customers who fail to arrive at the agreed meeting point or who do not use a booked service are generally not entitled to a refund, except where required by applicable law or expressly agreed by our company.
5. Refund Method and Processing Time
Approved refunds will normally be issued to the original payment method. The time required for the funds to appear in the customer’s account depends on the payment provider and the issuing bank.
6. Amendments and Rescheduling
Changes to confirmed bookings are subject to availability and may incur amendment fees, supplier penalties, or differences in price. Any additional charges will be communicated before the change is confirmed.
7. Cancellation Requests
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to [info@journeytravel-egypt.com] with the booking reference and the customer’s full name. The date and time the request is received will determine the applicable cancellation period.
8. Applicable Law
This policy is subject to applicable laws and regulations. Mandatory consumer rights and legal refund obligations will take precedence over any conflicting provision.
